Bangkok: Investigators have raided a secret warehouse in Min Buri, seizing over 30,000 counterfeit products, including engine oil, car air fresheners, and popular branded dietary supplements.
According to Thai News Agency, the Central Investigation Bureau conducted the raid in collaboration with the Department of Intellectual Property and representatives from trademark owners. The operation was initiated after a trademark owner raised concerns about an online store selling counterfeit engine oil.
Police officials traced the counterfeit goods to the warehouse and obtained a search warrant. The warehouse, located in a secluded alley, was found stocked with a wide array of counterfeit products. Thai nationals present in the warehouse admitted that all the goods were counterfeit. They revealed that their Chinese employer, who imported the items from China, had rented the warehouse three months prior and hired daily wage workers to handle the packing of these goods.
