Real Madrid Rejects Premier League Offers for Trent Alexander-Arnold

Madrid:Real Madrid has declined offers to sell Trent Alexander-Arnold during the January transfer window, despite interest from Premier League clubs Liverpool and Chelsea.

According to Thai News Agency, the Spanish La Liga club has confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold, the England international right-back, will not leave in January. This decision comes amidst strong rumors of his potential return to the Premier League, with Liverpool and Chelsea expressing interest.

The 28-year-old defender has struggled to secure a consistent starting position under coach Jose Mourinho, having only started four league matches this season. Nonetheless, Mourinho is determined to keep Alexander-Arnold with the team for the remainder of the season.

Currently, Alexander-Arnold is not considering a move away from Real Madrid. He is focused on competing for his spot at the Santiago Bernabeu, especially after being given a starting role last weekend. This stance poses a challenge for Liverpool and Chelsea in their attempts to bring him back to England in January.

Although his departure from Liverpool was less than amicable, the club continues to monitor the situation with their former academy player. Last season, Alexander-Arnold made 35 appearances for Real Madrid across all competitions, including starting in both of their Champions League quarter-final losses to Bayern Munich.

Stefan Borson, a former financial advisor for Manchester City, mentioned to Football Insider that a return to Liverpool could allow Alexander-Arnold to repair his relationship with the club's fans. Liverpool is expected to keep a close watch on developments concerning the defender's future in Madrid.
