Red Bull Introduces First-Ever Fitness Racing Competition in Thailand

Bangkok: Red Bull launches "Red Bull Power Race," a new type of fitness racing, accepting 500 participants to compete for a chance to represent Thailand and win the championship in Bangkok.

According to Thai News Agency, Red Bull, the market leader in energy drinks under the TCP Group, is offering Thais an exciting energy-boosting event with the Red Bull Power Race, the world's first fitness racing competition. Under the concept of "The Fastest Race, The Greatest Rush," this event pushes the boundaries of challenge, igniting fitness enthusiasts to test their speed, strength, and power to the extreme. Only 500 participants nationwide will be accepted to compete on October 17, 2026, at Bangkok Central Station, before culminating in the grand Red Bull Power Race International Final in Bangkok on October 18, 2026. Registration is open now via https://www.redbullsport.com/th

Only 500 people will have the opportunity to challenge their own limits. Amidst the ever-growing popularity of sports and fitness lifestyles, the Red Bull Power Race is designed to be the fastest, most challenging race accessible to all. It's open to fitness enthusiasts of all levels-runners, fitness buffs, and regular exercisers-who are looking for a new challenge to prove themselves without needing specialized equipment or complex skills. Instead, it requires determination, physical and mental strength to push beyond their limits-not just to beat time, but to discover just how far they can go.

All competitors must complete four laps of the 400-meter sprint, alternating with push-ups, sit-ups, and squats-40 for men and 30 for women at each station-with the sole objective of passing all stages and crossing the finish line as quickly as possible. The seemingly simple format allows the competition to highlight the individual differences among athletes, including their timing, energy management, and ability to push on when their bodies reach their limits.

The Red Bull Power Race is designed to create thrilling moments for both competitors and spectators, with a race format that allows spectators to closely follow every step of their fellow competitors, from the start and through each station to the final surge of power towards the finish line.

Ms. Suphasita Kraisi, Chief Marketing Officer, Global Division, TCP Group, stated, 'Red Bull believes that sport is a power that connects people and opens opportunities to discover their potential. Red Bull Power Race was created to be an accessible, easy-to-understand, and exciting competition for both competitors and spectators. It measures not only physical strength but also reflects determination under pressure, the courage to push beyond one's limits, and we hope this competition will inspire everyone to participate.'

Beyond being a novel racing format, Red Bull Power Race has been developed into a regional sports platform connecting competitors from across Southeast Asia through a shared challenge. Each national qualifying round serves as a gateway to the opportunity to represent their country on the international stage in Bangkok, paving the way for competitors to progress from domestic competitions to making history in the inaugural season of Red Bull Power Race.

Sigurd Maike, Red Bull Power Race Program Director, said, 'Red Bull Power Race uses familiar basic movements like running, push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. This simplicity is the charm of the competition, as it doesn't require complex equipment and there are no technical limitations that would hinder participation. On the course, every athlete must rely on both individual race strategies and the efficient use of their physical power to achieve their best time.'
