Sattahip: The Director-General of the Military Education Department inspected the readiness of new recruits for the 1/69 batch, who are preparing to report for duty on July 1st. The Royal Thai Navy concluded the training for these recruits, showcasing their strength and readiness to serve the nation.
According to Thai News Agency, Vice Admiral Paitoon Chichana, Director-General of the Naval Education Department, presided over the closing parade ceremony for the basic training course for recruits, Public Education Phase, Batch 1/69. This ceremony was held at the parade ground of the Naval Recruit Training Center in the Bang Sare Subdistrict, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province. The event aimed to highlight the strength, unity, discipline, and military qualities of the new recruits, demonstrating the achievements of the 8-week training program conducted according to Royal Thai Navy standards.
The training, which began on May 1, 2026, was designed to provide recruits with fundamental naval knowledge and skills, while instilling in them a sense of pride in the nation, religion, and monarchy. The recruits are now prepared to serve and are scheduled to be deployed to various naval units on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. This initiative supports the Commander-in-Chief's policy of making 2026 the "Year of Combat Readiness for the Royal Thai Navy," focusing on enhancing personnel readiness in physical and mental condition, discipline, and mission capability for national security.
