Rubber Authority of Thailand Celebrates 11th Anniversary with ‘RAOT SMART GREEN GLOBAL’ Initiative

Bangkok: Celebrating the 11th anniversary of the Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT), 'RAOT SMART GREEN GLOBAL' unveils the direction for the 12th year, driving innovation and a green economy to elevate Thai rubber to international standards.

According to Thai News Agency, the Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) headquarters celebrated its 11th anniversary on July 15, 2026, under the theme "RAOT SMART GREEN GLOBAL - Driven by Innovation, Creating Green Rubber Plantations for the International Market." Mr. Winairoj Sapsongsook, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, presided over the ceremony and delivered a policy speech outlining RAOT's direction into its 12th year as a key mechanism for managing the country's rubber industry. Mr. Ditthadej Wattanaporn, Deputy Governor for Operations, represented RAOT in presenting a report on the anniversary celebration, highlighting past achievements, key projects, rubber innovations, and future operational directions.

Mr. Winairoj Sapsongsuk emphasized that over the past 11 years, RAOT has continuously driven the development of Thai rubber, becoming the leading organization in the country's integrated rubber management system, covering the entire value chain from upstream to downstream. It has pushed for the upgrading of the rubber industry in all dimensions - production, processing, marketing, and value-added creation - to improve the quality of life for rubber farmers and enhance the competitiveness of Thai rubber on the global stage. "For the organization's 12th year, we are confident that RAOT will continue to drive the development of the entire rubber system, utilizing knowledge, technology, research, and innovation as key mechanisms, coupled with promoting environmentally friendly rubber farming practices. This will elevate Thai rubber to international standards and ensure sustainable growth," he said.

Mr. Kosol Boonkong, Acting Governor of RAOT, stated that the 11th anniversary marks another significant milestone in the organization's growth, reflecting its role as a key agricultural agency in the rubber sector. RAOT is committed to driving the country's rubber industry comprehensively, ensuring stability from upstream to downstream, while enhancing global competitiveness. As it enters its 12th year, RAOT focuses on upgrading production through technology and innovation, promoting cost reduction through a mix of chemical and organic/bio-fertilizers, and preparing for global environmental trade regulations. The ultimate goal is to propel the Thai rubber sector towards a '3 Highs' era: High Efficiency, High Standards, and High Income.

Mr. Ditthadech added that the anniversary celebration showcased key achievements, projects, and operations, as well as innovations and research, across the entire value chain. This was presented through an exhibition reflecting the organization's development direction under the concept of "RAOT SMART GREEN GLOBAL," encompassing upgrading production through technology, creating added value from rubber, promoting environmentally friendly green rubber plantations, and developing international production standards. These are crucial mechanisms for building confidence in Thai rubber in the global market.

Significant awards were presented to individuals involved in the rubber industry to honor their contributions, including the 2026 Outstanding Moral Individual Award and various awards for rubber farmer institutions and networks. Activities included donating rubber mannequins for CPR training to external organizations, reinforcing RAOT's commitment to societal contributions.
