Kazan: Anutin Charnvirakul shook hands with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a gala dinner for ASEAN leaders on Wednesday. Anutin, accompanied by his wife Thananon Charnvirakul, met with the Russian president at the Tatar State Galiaskar Kamal Theater in Kazan at 6:00 pm local time on June 17. The dinner, hosted by Putin, was held in honor of heads of state and leaders attending the ASEAN-Russia Business Forum and featured a cultural performance.
According to Thai News Agency, the Thai prime minister arrived in Kazan to attend the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit, scheduled for June 16-19, marking the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations. The summit aims to bolster ties and discuss various collaborative opportunities between the ASEAN nations and Russia.
