Social Security Board Election Set for October 11th

Muang Thong Thani:The Social Security Board election is scheduled to take place on October 11th, as confirmed by Mr. Julaphan Amornvivat, the Minister of Labour. The election is expected to proceed without further postponements, and preparations are underway to ensure a smooth process.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Julaphan emphasized the importance of participation from insured persons and employers in casting their votes. He highlighted that their involvement is crucial in shaping the future direction of the Social Security Office.

The Minister addressed potential challenges posed by flooding in certain districts, noting that while the situation has improved since late last month, emergencies may still arise. In areas severely affected by flooding, polling stations may be relocated to nearby districts. Voters are advised to check the Social Security Office's website for updates on polling station locations.

Mr. Julaphan expressed optimism for a higher voter turnout compared to previous elections, underscoring the democratic nature of the process. He acknowledged that while achieving perfect participation might be unlikely, he hopes for a successful election with significant voter engagement.
