Phop Phra: Soldiers stationed at the Thai-Myanmar border have intercepted a group of Thai and Chinese nationals attempting to enter Thailand illegally. The Rajamanu Task Force Control Division, in collaboration with the 2nd and 3rd Long Range Reconnaissance Units and the Naresuan Task Force, conducted a patrol in the operational area of Ban Pa Kha Mai, Khiri Rat Subdistrict, Phop Phra District, Tak Province. During the operation, they discovered approximately 6-7 individuals crossing the river into Thailand. According to Thai News Agency, the officers revealed themselves to investigate and apprehended six individuals, including four men and two women of Chinese nationality, along with one Thai national identified as Mr. Thanantchai Sae Ma. Mr. Thanantchai, 28, was found to have facilitated their entry using four motorcycles. The drivers of the other three motorcycles managed to flee into the forest under the cover of darkness. The Chinese nationals were identified as Ms. Tan Tan, 18, Ms. Lan Lan, 19, Mr. Ah Hang, 31, Mr. Atan, 18, and Mr. Wang Jun Ming, 21. Initial investigations revealed that Mr. Thanantchai admitted to receiving the group from Thangchai village and was taking them to another individual for further transportation, receiving 1,000 baht per person for his services before being apprehended. The authorities have transferred all involved parties to Phop Phra Police Station for further legal proceedings.
