Thailand to Host Singapore Prime Minister for Official Visit in November.

Bangkok: The Prime Minister is preparing to welcome the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore to visit Thailand officially on 28 November. "60 years of Thai-Singapore relations" and is ready to discuss and promote investment in both countries. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, Government Spokesman, revealed that Mr. Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, is scheduled to pay an official visit to Thailand as a guest of the government on Thursday, 28 November 2024, at the invitation of Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister. This is considered the first official visit to Thailand by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore since taking office in May 2024. The Prime Minister of Singapore has an important schedule at Government House at 10.30 a.m., including an official welcome ceremony, a meeting with the Prime Minister, witnessing the signing of a cooperation document between Thai and Singaporean agencies, a joint press conference, and the Prime Minister will host a luncheon in honor of the Prime Minister of Singapore. Mr. Chirayu said that next year, in 2025, Thailand and Singapore will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The two leaders will hold bilateral discussions to strengthen the relationship between Thailand and Singapore even closer, in terms of exchange of visits, security and economic partnership, people-to-people relations, and strategic cooperation, as well as promoting cooperation in new areas such as cyber security, digital economy, green economy, and investment in future industries for the benefit of the people of both countries.
