South Korean President Lee Jae-myung Receives Commemorative Pen from Trump at G7 Summit

Paris: South Korean President Lee Jae-myung concluded his attendance at the G7 summit in France by receiving a commemorative pen from U.S. President Donald Trump. The gesture followed a dinner meeting where the two leaders discussed significant progress on issues related to North Korea.

According to Thai News Agency, President Lee, who attended the summit in Ewha-Yang-Lae-Bain as an invited ally, had a friendly and in-depth conversation with President Trump for about 90 minutes during a leaders' dinner. The discussions primarily focused on peace on the Korean Peninsula and the progress in the relationship between South Korea and the United States.

The following day, Mr. Trump presented President Lee with the pen he used to sign documents during the summit. President Lee mentioned that this was a reciprocal gesture, reminiscent of their first summit, where Mr. Trump received a pen from him. Additionally, the South Korean leader shared that Mr. Trump extended an invitation to him and First Lady Kim Hye-kyung to play golf together in the future.
