Speeding Pickup Truck Crashes into Party, Injuring One and Damaging Seven Vehicles

Mukdahan: A pickup truck crashed into a group of people having a party in front of a house, injuring one person and damaging seven vehicles. A speeding pickup truck veered off the road on a curve and crashed into a group of teenagers celebrating in front of a house. They scattered as the truck spun out of control and then hit seven parked cars and motorcycles, damaging a total of seven vehicles.

According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage captured a group of teenagers having a party in front of a house when a white pickup truck sped by and crashed into their gathering. Fortunately, the teenagers managed to jump out of the way just in time before the truck rammed into several cars and motorcycles parked in front of a nearby restaurant. The incident occurred on the Mukdahan-Don Tan road, Sri Bun Rueang subdistrict, Mueang district, Mukdahan province, at 3:20 AM last night.

Following the incident, investigators from the Mukdahan City Police Station inspected the scene, located on a curve in front of a rice porridge restaurant on the Mukdahan-Don Tal road, Sri Bun Rueang Subdistrict, Mukdahan District. They found four cars, one pickup truck, and two motorcycles severely damaged and wrecked. One person was injured and had already been transported to Mukdahan Hospital by rescue workers.

Witnesses stated that before the accident, a white pickup truck was seen driving from Don Tan district towards Mukdahan city at high speed. Upon reaching a curve in the road, the truck lost control and crashed into a group of people socializing, also hitting parked cars and motorcycles in front of a rice porridge shop, causing damage. Authorities are currently questioning all witnesses at the scene, including the driver of the pickup truck, to determine the cause of the accident - whether it was due to drunk driving or falling asleep at the wheel - before filing charges according to the law.
