Street Teacher Thongphool Buasri: A Beacon of Hope for Underprivileged Children

Bangkok: "Art-Akkaraphong" takes you to meet "Teacher Thongphoon," a street teacher and guiding light in children's lives, on Channel 9, ?? 30, in the program "Those Who Work Behind the Scenes: From the Forest to the City."

According to Thai News Agency, every Sunday at 11:30 AM, viewers can tune into the high-quality documentary "Those Who Work Behind the Scenes: From the Forest to the City," supported by the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund. Hosted by Art-Akkarapong Nakornkaew, the program leads viewers through the lives of eight inspiring individuals, highlighting their work, societal impact, and sacrifices.

In the upcoming episode on Sunday, July 19th, the host Art-Akkarapong will introduce Thongphool Buasri, affectionately known as 'Teacher Jiew,' a street teacher and a beacon of hope for many children. As part of the Children's Creative Foundation, Teacher Jiew has dedicated her life to assisting underprivileged children in urban settings. Having grown up in poverty herself, she was awarded a scholarship from grade 5 through to her graduation with a bachelor's degree from Rajabhat Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya University.

For over 35 years, Teacher Jiew has passionately pursued her ideal of providing educational opportunities to disadvantaged children. Her efforts have led to the establishment of the 'Street Teacher' and 'Mobile Construction Worker School' projects. She began her journey as a volunteer teacher at construction sites and eventually assumed full responsibility for these projects, utilizing a mobile learning unit to educate children and youth in need. Teacher Jiew's commitment is driven by her belief that education can transform lives, and she remains hopeful that every child who desires an education will have access to it. Her unwavering dedication has impacted countless children and youth over the years.
