About 300 students were hastily evacuated from of their school on Monday afternoon, after two wells containing used oil in a factory in Si Racha district of Chon Buri province caught fire, sending a huge column of thick black smoke into the sky.
Several fire engines from the municipal office rushed to fight the blaze with water and chemical foam.
In the meantime, teachers ordered all the students at a school, located not far from the factory, to evacuate to a safe location.
