Nakhon sawan: "Suphamas" is preparing to travel to the lower northern region to urgently provide assistance to flood victims. Supamas Isaraphakdi, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister's Office, is set to visit the region on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Nakhon Sawan Provincial Hall, following directives from Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to expedite relief efforts.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Supamas has called for a meeting with the provincial governor and relevant agencies from Inspection Area 18, covering Kamphaeng Phet, Nakhon Sawan, Phichit, and Uthai Thani provinces. The meeting aims to review past performance, provide oversight policies, and discuss cooperation strategies to address public hardships and regional development. The discussion will also focus on delivering flood relief and promoting measures to enhance living standards, increase income, and reduce expenses for affected individuals.
The visit aligns with Prime Minister Anutin's urgent directive to accelerate assistance and compensation for flood victims, emphasizing the government's commitment to prioritizing natural disaster relief. Ms. Supamas highlighted the government's awareness of the flood's impact on safety, property, and basic needs, such as water and public health, stressing the need for continuous attention to these issues.
"We are dedicated to resolving problems and alleviating suffering, particularly in areas affected by recurring disasters. Post-flood management is essential, with a focus on systematic and multi-dimensional rehabilitation, including infrastructure and economic opportunities at the community level, to ensure a swift return to normalcy and sustainable future disaster preparedness," Ms. Supamas stated.
