Bangkok: "Teacher Sai" has filed a petition with the Department of Health Service Support (DHSS) urging an investigation into a private hospital following a misdiagnosis that resulted in her husband's death.
According to Thai News Agency, the complaint was officially lodged today at the DHSS building located within the Ministry of Public Health. Accompanying Teacher Sai was Mr. Kongtree Dr. Thanakrit Chittraareerat, Secretary to the Minister of Social Development and Human Security. The complaint names the private hospital responsible for the medical oversight that led to her husband's demise due to heart disease. Dr. Arkhom Praditsuwann, Deputy Director-General of the DHSS, along with Mr. Saroj Yodpradit, Director of the Legal Division, received the complaint on behalf of the department.
Dr. Arkhom assured that the DHSS is fully committed to ensuring justice for the victim and will assign staff to delve deeper into the case to uncover the facts. Furthermore, the department is prepared to facilitate negotiations between the hospital and the victim's family to reach a satisfactory resolution for both parties involved.
