Bangkok: His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen granted an audience to several Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, allowing them to bid farewell before departing to assume their new roles abroad. The audience was held at Amporn Sathan Palace, Dusit Palace, where the ambassadors paid their respects and received royal blessings for their upcoming missions.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ekasiri Pindharuchi, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led a delegation of ambassadors to this significant farewell event. Among those present was Ms. Nipa Nirannut, who is set to serve as Ambassador to the Republic of Senegal. She previously held the position of Consul General in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Mr. Donvis Phoolsawat, departing as Ambassador to Nepal, previously served as Consul General in Mumbai, India. Similarly, Mr. Chaturon Chaiyakham, heading to the Republic of Turkey, was formerly Consul General in Hong Kong, People's Republic of China.
The event also included Ambassador Vorapanee Damrongmani, who will assume duties in the Republic of Singapore. Her previous role was Deputy Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs. Meanwhile, Ms. Chirassaya Peeranont, appointed to the Republic of Kenya, served as Minister Counselor at the Royal Thai Embassy in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
Mr. Bancha Yunyongjongcharoen, moving to the Republic of Mozambique, was formerly Deputy Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs. Mr. Chivin Na Thalang, appointed to the Kingdom of Spain, served as Minister Counselor in Austria.
Other notable appointments include Mr. Phuechphop Mongkolnavin to Romania, Ms. Ekagorn Khunacharoen to the Republic of Peru, and Mr. To Sornlump to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Each ambassador brings a wealth of experience from their previous diplomatic roles.
Ms. Pensom Lertsittichai will take on her new role in the State of Qatar, while Mr. Sek Nopthaisong is set to serve in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Both ambassadors have extensive backgrounds in international relations, having served in key consular positions prior to these appointments.
