Sri lanka: The Thai national golf team celebrated a remarkable victory by securing four awards at the Asia-Pacific tournament held in Sri Lanka. The team demonstrated exceptional skill and performance, clinching two championships and two runner-up titles at the prestigious Asia Pacific Junior Golf Championship 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, the highlight of the tournament was Achiraya "Wan-on" Sriwong, who is currently ranked 22nd among female amateur golfers globally. She achieved victory in the individual women's championship with an impressive score of 6 under par. Achiraya also teamed up with Marisa "Yim" Tojai to claim the women's team championship, solidifying their dominance in the women's events.
In the men's category, golfers Thomas Thakrit Supakornchuawong and Titan Jesada Chuengprayoon showcased strong performances, tying for 4th place in the individual men's event. Their efforts contributed to Team Thailand securing the runner-up position in the men's team event, narrowly missing the top spot to India by just one stroke. Additionally, in the mixed team event, Thakrit and Marisa collaborated to earn the runner-up title, further highlighting the team's impressive showing at the championship.
