Santiago: Thailand U17 lost to Chinese Taipei in a close match, 2-3 sets, at the 2026 Women's Volleyball World Championship. The Thai U17 team took to the court this morning (Thailand time) in the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U17 World Championship in Santiago, Chile.
According to Thai News Agency, Team Thailand faced Chinese Taipei. Thailand won the first set, but Chinese Taipei fought back to win two sets in a row in a very close match. However, in the fourth set, Team Thailand leveled the score at 2-2.
In the deciding set, Chinese Taipei performed better, but Thailand lost 2-3 sets (25-15, 24-26, 27-29, 25-22, 7-15). Thailand will play in the 5th-8th place classification round against the loser of the Trkiye vs. South Korea match on August 16th at 1:00 AM (Thailand time).
