Thawee Eyes Ambitious Goal: Prachachat Party Aims for 30 MP Seats in Next Election

Phuket: The Prachachat Party convened its first annual general meeting of 2025 at the Royal Phuket City Hotel, where party leader Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong announced an ambitious goal for the upcoming election: to secure no less than 30 MP seats. The meeting, held in Phuket Province, saw attendance from party leaders, members, and representatives from across the country.

According to Thai News Agency, the event began with a video presentation highlighting the Prachachat Party’s seven-year journey, showcasing its successes and the significant contributions of key figures like Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, President of the House of Representatives and former party leader, and Pol. Col. Thawee himself. The video emphasized Thawee’s confidence in addressing national issues such as drug problems, educational reforms, and opportunities for prisoners.

Pol. Col. Thawee articulated his dedication to the electorate, emphasizing that the Prachachat Party belongs to the people and is committed to addressing inequality, poverty, and agricultural challenges. He called on party members to work diligently over the next two years to achieve these goals. The party’s agenda, he noted, must prioritize youth and aim to rectify systemic issues.

At the meeting, Thawee also introduced his daughter and son, who had traveled to Phuket to show their support. Meanwhile, it was reported that Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor was absent due to his participation in the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Uzbekistan, from April 4-10, 2025.
