Washington: The US president said his relationship with China is very strong after speaking to the Chinese leader on the phone yesterday and accepting his invitation to visit Beijing next year.
According to Thai News Agency, President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social on Monday local time after a phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping that he had just finished a very good phone call with the Chinese leader. They discussed a wide range of topics, including Ukraine and Russia, the addictive painkiller fentanyl, and U.S. soybeans and other agricultural products. Trump emphasized that the relationship between China and the United States is very strong.
The phone call followed a highly successful meeting in South Korea on October 30th, and the two sides have since made significant progress in making their agreements lasting. Trump also mentioned that he had accepted President Xi’s invitation to visit Beijing in April and had also invited Xi to visit the US on an official visit next year. However, the US leader did not post anything about Taiwan, with which China is at loggerheads with Japan.
