Trump to Attend World Cup Final and Trophy Presentation Ceremony

East rutherford: Former President Donald Trump is set to attend the World Cup final and the trophy presentation ceremony, as confirmed by Gianni Infantino, president of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). Infantino announced plans to invite Trump to participate in the prestigious event, underscoring the significance of the US leader's presence at the tournament's climax.

According to Thai News Agency, Gianni Infantino stated his commitment to attending the final match and presenting the trophy to the winning team alongside Trump. The ceremony is scheduled for July 19th in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This marks a continuation of Trump's involvement in major FIFA events, following his attendance at last year's FIFA Club World Cup final, where Chelsea emerged victorious with a 3-0 win at the same venue.

In the previous event, Trump was on stage during Chelsea's trophy presentation, which later led to some controversy as the original trophy was reportedly found in the Oval Office at the White House, with Chelsea receiving a replica instead.

Renowned sports media outlet, The Athletic, reported that Infantino is making an effort to attend as many matches as possible during the tournament, currently attending up to two matches a day. However, Trump has not yet attended any World Cup matches this year.
