Raengae district: Unrest has erupted in Raengae District, Narathiwat Province, as attackers planted bombs and committed arson at several locations, prompting authorities to swiftly secure the area and issue warnings to residents to remain indoors for their safety. According to Thai News Agency, the disturbances began late last night around 8:00 PM, with at least five reports of unrest in the district. Security forces and related agencies have been deployed to secure the area, investigate the incidents in detail, and assess the extent of the damage. The first reported attack took place at the Bukeh Bueh Rae Child Development Center in Maruebo Tok Subdistrict, involving explosions and gunfire. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the damage and any potential casualties. In another incident, approximately 30 attackers infiltrated the Bongor Subdistrict Administrative Organization, restraining security personnel and setting the building on fire. The group then escaped in a Mitsubishi Tri ton pickup truck, heading towards Ban Chulabhorn Pattana 5. Authorities are actively searching for the vehicle and its occupants. Additional reports indicated that car tires were set ablaze on a road near Ban Mo Sawa, Bongor Subdistrict. Another incident occurred on the border between Ban Kampong Pareh, Village 8, Maruebo Tok Subdistrict, and Ban Kuching Luepa, Village 4, Chalerm Subdistrict, around 8:15 PM. No injuries have been reported in these instances. A separate report detailed that a backhoe was torched near a bridge in Ban Ana, Moo 8, Bongor Subdistrict. Officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding this event. As these incidents unfolded simultaneously, authorities have intensified security efforts, conducting inspections across various areas and tracking the stolen vehicle from the Bongor Subdistrict Administrative Organization.
