Pak Chong: A woman driving a sedan crashed into an electric pole and a house wall on the Mittraphap Bypass Road, km. 74, in Pak Chong District, inbound Nakhon Ratchasima Province. She later confessed that she fell asleep while driving, leading to the accident.
According to Thai News Agency, the sedan collided with an electric pole, causing it to break. The vehicle then skidded and hit a sunshade before crashing into the wall of a house located on the side of the Mittraphap Bypass Road. The impact was significant, with the sharp metal from the house penetrating the glass, narrowly missing the driver’s seat. The deployed airbag helped prevent serious injuries to the driver.
The driver, identified as Ms. Patchaporn, suffered only minor injuries. She explained that she was traveling from Bangkok to work in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Upon reaching the accident site, she began to feel drowsy. Although she intended to pull over, she fell asleep at the wheel. She was only awakened by the homeowner who came to her
aid after the crash. Fortunately, her vehicle is covered by first-class insurance.
Local authorities from the Nong Sarai Police Station have arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation and are preparing to proceed with further actions.
