Yotchanan Calls for Enhanced Security Following Thepsirin School Shooting

Nonthaburi: Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, expressed his sorrow over the recent school shooting at Thepsirin School, Nonthaburi, emphasizing the need for heightened security measures.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Wongsawat, in his supervisory role over the Ministry of Education, issued a public message conveying his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and injured, as well as all those affected by the tragic event. He assured the public that authorities have brought the situation under control and that he is closely monitoring the developments.

Mr. Wongsawat has directed the implementation of the highest level of security across educational institutions to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff. He also called for community cooperation by avoiding the surrounding areas of the school to facilitate the work of officials. Additionally, he urged the public to refrain from sharing images or videos of the incident to protect the privacy and mental well-being of those impacted.
