Nan: "Yotchanan" accelerates the restoration of Nan Province, which is over 80% complete, and inspects the Fix it Center providing relief to villagers.
According to Thai News Agency, Professor Dr. Yotsanun Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, is spearheading the recovery efforts in Nan Province, which has been significantly affected by floods and landslides. In his role as Chairman of the Committee on Flood and Drought Prevention and Mitigation in the Northern Region, he, along with senior officials from related agencies, is closely monitoring the recovery progress in the area.
The mission commenced with a visit to Ban Hia village, followed by Ban Fai village, where the restoration is over 80% complete. The clearing operations in Ban Fai have progressed significantly, with homes nearing full functionality and residents starting to resume normal life. During his visit, the Deputy Prime Minister encouraged residents, revisiting the same areas he visited during the incident last week.
Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister engaged in discussions with "Teacher Nan," a prominent community leader in the restoration efforts. Their conversation centered on strategies for restoration and long-term prevention plans to mitigate future adverse effects in the region.
The Deputy Prime Minister also visited Ban Rong in Woranakorn Subdistrict, Pua District, Nan Province, to oversee the operations of the Fix it Center. This center, a joint initiative by Uttaradit Technical College and the Department of Skill Development, offers repair services for electrical appliances and motorcycles damaged by the recent natural disasters, thereby helping to reduce the financial strain on the local community.
