Bangkok: "Bent Kittithach" (Kittithach Pordongko), an artist known for his evolving musical style, has released a new single titled "Old Jeans to Woo a University Star." This song draws inspiration from his personal experiences during his university years.
According to Thai News Agency, Bent Kittithach, who is signed to Kicks Records, has been on a journey of musical transformation, with previous works including "Kalasin Blues," "Fai Phuk Jai," and "Ma Jor Rak Jing," featuring Benz Preecha. His latest release, "Old Jeans to Woo a University Star," is a reflection of his life as a university student in Bangkok. Coming from a modest background, Bent found himself amidst a diverse group of friends, one of whom was a strikingly beautiful girl from his faculty. Her sophistication, highlighted by her arrival in a Mercedes Benz and carrying a lavish handbag, contrasted sharply with Bent's humble attire of an old student shirt and ripped jeans. This moment of introspection spurred Bent to aspire for self-improvement, hoping to eventually become someone capable of caring for someone special.
The song has garnered special attention from its producer, Tan Lipta, who regards it as his favorite among Bent's recent works. The production, arranged by March VYBES, is marked by its simplicity, featuring only vocals and two guitars, which amplifies the emotional depth of the lyrics and Bent's genuine expression.
The music video for "Old Jeans to Woo a University Star" features Bent Kittithach himself, alongside JJ from the band La Moon. The shoot was characterized by a lively and enjoyable atmosphere, with the team successfully adapting to the rainy conditions to enhance the video's aesthetic.
