Buriram Woman Offers Reward to Find Missing Pet Turtle

Buriram: A woman from Buriram has put up a sign searching for her beloved turtle and is offering a 3,000 baht reward for its return. A woman in Buriram has been unable to eat or sleep after her pet turtle, which she had raised for over 7 years, went missing from her home more than 16 days ago. She has put up a sign in front of her house offering a 3,000 baht reward to anyone who finds or returns the turtle.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Thanyathorn, 51 years old, a resident of Satuk District, Buriram Province, has put up a large sign in front of her house featuring a picture of a turtle and the message: "Lost turtle in this area. Please return it here. A reward of 3,000 baht will be given to anyone who returns it."

Ms. Thanyathorn recounted that she acquired this turtle over 7 years ago. At the time, she was a teacher in Bangkok. She saw the turtle emerge from the bushes, its beautiful golden color evident. She caught it because it was small. She tried to find out who owned it, but no one claimed it, so she kept it in her condo, named it TK, and cared for it ever since. Later, she moved to Buriram province and brought the turtle with her, considering it like her own child. Once, she was hospitalized for a long time, and when she returned home, TK followed her closely, presumably missing her. She admits that since having TK, her family life has been happier, both in her career and in terms of fortune.

Ms. Thanyathorn, tearfully, recounted that her turtle, TK, had been missing from home for 16 days without a trace. She had searched everywhere but couldn't find him. As the days passed, she missed him terribly and couldn't bear to be alone. Therefore, she put up a sign in front of her house to announce her search and offered a reward for anyone who found and returned him. She also posted more than 20 posters at shops in her village and nearby villages but still hasn't found him. She appealed to anyone who sees a turtle matching the description in the picture to return it, expressing her sincere gratitude.
