Cabinet Approval of “Thai Helps Thai Plus” Project Sparks Public Optimism

Chiang mai: People are delighted and believe that "Thai Helps Thai Plus" will help stimulate the economy. The public is delighted after the Cabinet approved the "Thai Helps Thai Plus" project, as it will not only help alleviate the burden of living costs but also improve the overall domestic economy.

According to Thai News Agency, our news team visited Sam Yaek Market in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. Merchants and shoppers alike unanimously agreed that this project would help stimulate the economy, similar to the previous "Half-Price" scheme. They explained that prices have increased, making purchases more risky, but with this project-the government subsidizes 60% and customers only pay 40%-it should make buying easier.

Welfare cardholders in Khon Kaen province expressed their gratitude to the government for recognizing the hardships faced by the people. They were very happy to receive an additional 700 baht, bringing the total to 1,000 baht per month for four months, which greatly helps with household expenses.

Business owners also thanked the government, believing it would help boost sales in the area and alleviate the burden on vulnerable groups in the community.

The government is expanding its "Thai Helps Thai Plus" project, partnering with Unilever Thailand to offer over 700 products at special prices, with discounts of up to 50%, through a network of over 70,000 stores nationwide. The products cover four main categories: home care products, personal care items, health and beauty products, and food. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on citizens, strengthen the community economy, and stimulate domestic spending for continued economic growth.
