Chaiwat Sathavorawichit Proposes 500 Million Baht Allocation for New Neighborhoods in Bangkok

Bangkok: Chaiwat Sathavorawichit, the People's Party's candidate for Bangkok Governor, has announced a proposal to allocate 500 million baht for the creation of new neighborhoods aimed at fostering growth throughout the city. During his visits to Fashion Island and Seacon Square, Chaiwat emphasized the need for urban development that includes ordinary citizens and eradicates corruption.

According to Thai News Agency, Chaiwat highlighted the importance of expanding Bangkok's tourist and recreational areas, noting that current attractions are limited and concentrated in certain locations. The proposal includes a tenfold increase in the budget for developing new landmarks and tourist areas, allowing communities and the private sector to suggest projects that reflect their potential, such as cultural and food districts.

The initiative aims to establish creative districts and specialized service areas to create new destinations, distribute economic opportunities, and improve accessibility for all residents. The People's Party underscores the necessity of a transparent and accountable system, ensuring that resources and budgets benefit the public and enhance the quality of life for ordinary citizens. The proposal is also intended to eliminate corruption and ensure that citizens receive rightful benefits without any under-the-table payments.
