Chaiyanok Chidchob Declines to File Countersuit After Incident at His Residence

Buriram: Mr. Chaiyanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, has decided not to pursue a countersuit following the unexpected visit by Pol. Gen. Seripisut Temiyaves and Mr. Patarapong Supakorn, also known as Lawyer Aun, to his residence over the Khao Kradong matter. He reiterated confidence in the legitimacy of his land title documents.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chaiyanok addressed concerns regarding the need for additional security measures at the residence of Mr. Newin Chidchob, president of Buriram United Football Club, located in Isan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Buriram Province. He asserted that the existing security system is adequate, and no special arrangements are necessary.

Mr. Chaiyanok emphasized his confidence in the validity of the land title documents, not only for his family but also for the people of Buriram who have been implicated. Despite the accusations, he remains firm in his belief in the documentation's accuracy and refrained from further commenting on the issue.

When questioned about the potential political implications, Mr. Chaiyanok expressed two possible viewpoints. He acknowledged that Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth might sincerely believe in addressing a perceived wrongdoing, or it could be viewed as a political maneuver. However, he maintained his position on the matter.

Regarding legal action, Mr. Chaiyanok stated he has no personal objections but is uncertain how other individuals affected by the trespassing might respond legally. Inquiries about discussions with Mr. Newin revealed that they had a brief exchange about the visit, but it was not considered a significant issue.
