Chatchart Sittipunt Cycles to Polling Station for Bangkok Governor Election

Bangkok: Chatchart Sittipunt, a candidate for the Bangkok Governor position, made a notable entry as he cycled to the polling station to cast his vote. Arriving at polling station number 26, located at Jamchan School in the Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict of Watthana District, Chatchart was met by a group of media representatives. He checked his name on the voter list as voter number 240 and was the second person to arrive.

According to Thai News Agency, Chatchart briefly addressed the press while waiting for the polls to open. He shared that he had slept well after a 24-hour campaign the previous day, waking up early for a run. With favorable weather conditions and no rain forecasted for the upcoming hours, he urged the public to come out and vote, hoping for an 80% turnout to invigorate the new gubernatorial team and Bangkok City Council members. He also mentioned plans to bring his daughter, Saendee, to vote later.

Chatchart spoke about the absence of election observers this year, explaining that the results would primarily be monitored through television broadcasts. In the evening, his team planned to gather at a stadium to await the results. He reflected on the nature of the election process, emphasizing that regardless of the outcome, he would continue to work hard and move forward.
