Mr. Thiwakorn Phanawansombat, Deputy Chief Judge of the Civil Court, judges, court officials and mediators, along with faculty and students, participated in the ceremony.
According to Thai News Agency, the "Young Mediator" activity, organized under the 2026 Joint Mediation Project, aims to enhance knowledge, understanding, and cultivate the concept of resolving conflicts peacefully among secondary and tertiary students. The underlying idea is that if young people learn listening skills, understand differing perspectives, and work together to find solutions, it forms a crucial foundation for building a respectful society and reducing future conflict.
This activity, held from June 11-12, 2026, featured judges and mediators with knowledge and experience in mediation. They provided training on the principles and processes of dispute mediation, conducted simulated mediation demonstrations, and offered students opportunities for practical experience to gain a better understanding. The event was well-received by educational institutions, with 50 students from public and private schools and universities participating.
