Bangkok: The Government Lottery Office (GLO) has initiated a process to allow lottery ticket distributors to cancel their distributor status to participate in the government welfare card program. This development aims to address issues faced by individuals who were previously ineligible for the 2026 State Welfare Registration Program due to an annual income exceeding 100,000 baht.
According to Thai News Agency, the problem arose when some individuals were registered as lottery ticket distributors by family members or acquaintances without their consent or compensation. This unauthorized registration hindered their ability to cancel their distributorship and subsequently qualify for state welfare benefits.
On July 21, 2026, Lieutenant Colonel Noon Sansanakom, Director of the Government Lottery Office, stated that the office is prepared to assist those holding State Welfare Cards who wish to continue their participation in the welfare program. Distributors seeking to verify their information or cancel their distributorship can do so by contacting the GLO Call Center at 0 2528 9999 during business hours.
The office's initiative underscores its commitment to ensuring that citizens have access to state welfare benefits and are provided with opportunities to generate sufficient income to qualify for these benefits.
