Lawyer Assaults Neighbor in Front of Her Child Over Alleged Incident with Styrofoam Box

Bangkok: A lawyer is facing severe backlash after assaulting his female neighbor in front of her 5-year-old son, leaving her with a swollen face and a broken nose. The incident, which has shocked the local community, unfolded as the lawyer claimed that the neighbor accidentally ran over a Styrofoam box with her car.

According to Thai News Agency, the altercation occurred around 5:30 PM on September 11th, when Ms. Nan was parking her car in front of her neighbor's rented house. The lawyer accused her of damaging his Styrofoam box, despite witnesses claiming he had kicked the box under his own car. As Ms. Nan checked her trunk, the lawyer attacked her with a plastic fish sauce bottle, which shattered upon impact, and proceeded to choke and punch her.

Ms. Nan, visibly shaken, shared that she has endured the lawyer's aggressive behavior for two years, but this incident, witnessed by her special needs son, was particularly distressing. She filed a police report at Bang Sri Muang Police Station, determined to seek justice.

Neighbors have corroborated Ms. Nan's account, describing the lawyer as a habitual aggressor who frequently causes disturbances. Concerns about his mental stability have been raised, questioning his suitability for his profession.

Following the assault, Ms. Nan was taken to Phra Nangklao Hospital by her husband due to severe vomiting. Medical examinations revealed a fractured nasal bone and a concussion, with further assessments underway to decide on her hospitalization. Despite her injuries, Ms. Nan and the local community remain resolute in pursuing legal action against the lawyer, aiming to hold him accountable for his actions.
