Prime Minister Anutin’s Urgent Visit to Nan and Ubon Ratchathani for Flood and Mine Injury Response

Bangkok: Having completed his overseas mission, Anutin made an urgent flight to Nan to discuss flood response measures, followed by a visit to brave soldiers in Ubon Ratchathani. The Prime Minister is preparing to visit Nan province after returning from a trip to Australia and New Zealand. In the afternoon, he will go to Ubon Ratchathani to visit soldiers injured by landmines.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul is currently on an official visit to Australia and New Zealand. This visit aims to enhance cooperation in trade and investment and elevate relations between the two countries. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister is closely monitoring the flood situation in Thailand, particularly in Nan province, and has instructed relevant agencies to expedite assistance to the affected population. He is also preparing to visit the area immediately upon his return to Thailand.

The Prime Minister's spokesperson stated that Anutin is scheduled to return to Thailand on Saturday evening and will travel immediately to Nan province on Sunday morning. His visit aims to personally monitor the flood situation and assistance efforts, as well as to listen to the problems and needs on the ground. These actions are to ensure that post-flood relief and recovery can be promptly carried out. Later in the afternoon, the Prime Minister will travel to Ubon Ratchathani province to visit and encourage the humanitarian mine clearance personnel who were seriously injured after stepping on a landmine while on duty in Chong An Ma, Nam Yuen district, Ubon Ratchathani province on August 17th.
