Trump Wins FIFA Peace Prize, First Ever Awarded by FIFA

Washington: President Donald Trump has been awarded the FIFA Peace Prize after missing out on this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. It is the first peace prize bestowed by FIFA since world football’s governing body was founded 121 years ago in 1904.

According to Thai News Agency, President Trump became the inaugural recipient of FIFA’s “FIFA Peace Prize” during a ceremony held at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The event took place ahead of the group draw for the 2026 World Cup, which the United States will co-host alongside Canada and Mexico.

In accepting the medal, Mr. Trump placed it around his neck and expressed that it was one of the greatest honors of his life, attributing the accolade to his efforts in saving millions of lives. He further remarked that the 2026 World Cup would be an unparalleled global event and emphasized that the world is now a safer place, before exiting the stage to applause from the attendees.
