Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has humorously dismissed rumors of a conflict within the Bhumjaithai Party, asserting that there is no discord among its members. In a light-hearted manner, he quipped that any party member who dares to quarrel would face a barrage of roasted chicken.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin, who also serves as the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed speculations about a rift between two prominent party figures, Anutin himself and another key member, Newin Chidchob. He assured party secretary-general Chaiyanok Chidchob had already clarified the matter, likening it to a "bird and a son" issue and emphasizing there was no cause for concern.
When questioned about the relationship between "Ne" (Newin Chidchob) and "Nu" (Anutin), Anutin playfully responded with, "Don't worry," and noted that there was no need for further explanation. He jokingly reminisced about past discussions of renaming the party "Netin-Anuvin" and advised against paying heed to trivial matters.
Anutin further commented on the internal dynamics of the Bhumjaithai Party, stating, "Try to dare to quarrel with them. I don't know how many people have been treated like this. They've been scolded, teased, and even had 'roasted chicken' (a metaphor for being slandered)." He mentioned that four or five individuals had been "roasted chicken" and encouraged inquiries into who they were.
Concluding his address on a cheerful note, the Prime Minister greeted reporters in French, saying "Bonjour" and "Merci beaucoup," showcasing his jovial disposition.
