Bangkok Voter List Confusion Involving People’s Party Leader Resolved

Bangkok: "Teng Nattapong," leader of the People's Party, found himself in a commotion after discovering his name was missing from the voter registration list at unit 15, only to learn he had been transferred to unit 8. He remains confident that Bangkok voters will opt for transparent politics in the current election.

According to Thai News Agency, confusion erupted at polling stations when Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut's name was not found during the Bangkok Metropolitan Council and Governor elections. Reporters at polling station 15, Bang Chuek Nang Subdistrict, Taling Chan District, were puzzled by the absence of his name. Mr. Suchart Ruangpanyawut, his father, discovered that their family's registration had been moved to unit 8 due to a change in house number after the last parliamentary election.

Later investigations confirmed the relocation of Mr. Nattapong's voter registration to polling station 8. Upon discovering his name listed at number 19, Mr. Nattapong expressed surprise at the polling station change but noted it did not inconvenience his voting process. He urged voters to verify their polling stations through government websites to avoid similar confusion.

Mr. Nattapong emphasized the importance of voting, as the election outcome will influence Bangkok's budget management and the quality of life for its citizens. Despite the change in polling station, he encouraged a high voter turnout to reflect the people's will.

Discussing the political climate, Mr. Nattapong acknowledged the heated rhetoric in the final campaign stages as part of democratic competition. He reiterated the People's Party's commitment to transparency and invited public engagement in upcoming discussions, including a debate on the 2027 budget bill. Additionally, he addressed concerns regarding the AI ??Passport project and local government recruitment examinations, assuring continued oversight from the People's Party.
