According to Thai News Agency, cyber police, along with other police officers armed with a search warrant from the Saraburi Provincial Court, raided a house in Moo 9, Tambon Sap Sanun, Amphoe Muak Lek, Saraburi Province. They arrested Ms. Nilubon, 31, and seized one mobile phone and one laptop as evidence.
This device was used to work as an administrator, answering customer inquiries for the online gambling website PHAYAK789. The room where the incident occurred was used as an office. He had been doing this for approximately 2 years and received a salary of 25,000 baht per month.
The online gambling website illegally offered various gambling services, including slot games, fishing games, card games, baccarat, sic bo, poker, dragon tiger, live casino, lottery, and sports betting. An investigation into the financial transactions revealed a monthly turnover of over 18 million baht, or approximately over 200 million baht per year. Money was transferred into the online gambling account via an automated system using Thai bank accounts. Withdrawals were requested directly through the website, and website administrators were available to assist with registration issues, financial transactions, and to encourage customers to gamble on the site.
Initially, they were charged with "jointly organizing, enticing, advertising, or directly or indirectly persuading others to participate in gambling via electronic media without permission from the authorities." They were then taken into custody for legal proceedings.
