Ubon ratchathani: The Ministry of Culture has established a mobile kitchen to assist in the funerals of seven monks who tragically lost their lives in a car accident involving an 11-year-old child. The mobile kitchen has been set up at Wat Nam Khun, Ta Kao Subdistrict, Nam Khun District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, under the guidance of the Minister of Culture.
According to Thai News Agency, the initiative was launched by Ms. Sabida Thaiseth, Minister of Culture, who instructed the Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Cultural Office to manage the Ministry's mobile kitchen for the third consecutive day. This effort supports the royal patronage extended by His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen for the funerals of the monks, who were on a pilgrimage in Mukdahan Province at the time of the accident. Moreover, His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch has also offered continuous royal support for the ceremonies.
The Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Cultural Office is tasked with not only preparing meals for the monks and novices but also serving the public attending the funeral rites. Additionally, the office is responsible for preparing and decorating the venue, including arranging floral displays, to ensure the event is conducted in a manner that honors His Majesty's patronage.
The monastic community of Nam Khun District has conveyed their gratitude to the Ministry of Culture for its comprehensive support in organizing the event. The assistance provided, ranging from ceremony arrangements to venue preparation and meal provisions, has ensured that the funerals are conducted smoothly and with respect.
