Phetchabun: "Sridit Waterfall" is once again open to tourists at Khao Kho Wildlife Sanctuary, Phetchabun, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty and abundance of nature. The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation announced the reopening, allowing tourists to appreciate the waterfall's natural beauty and serene atmosphere starting from July 1, 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, "Sridit Waterfall" is located within the expansive Khao Kho Wildlife Sanctuary, covering over 27,200 rai in Phetchabun Province. Known for its continuous water flow throughout the year, the waterfall is part of a larger landscape featuring a rich blend of dense and open woodland. The sanctuary is elevated between 700-1,000 meters above sea level, providing a cool and comfortable climate year-round.
The sanctuary's lush montane forest serves as both a food source and a safe haven for a wide variety of wildlife. The area is nourished by important streams such as Huai Sadapong, Huai Saliang Haeng, and Huai Kho, which sustain the forest's vibrant ecosystem. Additionally, the "Khek River" area is densely populated with wildlife, offering nature enthusiasts the chance to encounter the local fauna during their visits.
