Trump Ends Iran Deal and Cuts Trade Ties with Spain

Ankara: U.S. President Donald Trump declared during the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, that the memorandum of understanding with Iran to end the conflict has "ended." The announcement signifies a significant shift in U.S. foreign policy, as Trump confirmed he has no intention of pursuing further negotiations with Iran. He used strong language to criticize Iranian leaders, describing them as worthless and ill.

According to Thai News Agency, the termination of the agreement follows the United States' recent actions, including a new series of airstrikes against Iran and the revocation of Iran's oil sales licenses. These measures were taken in response to attacks on three oil tankers. The move effectively dismantles the fragile ceasefire agreement, despite broad discontent from European nations, which have consistently opposed the U.S.'s military approach.

Additionally, President Trump has instructed Treasury Secretary Scott Basen to cut trade ties with Spain, labeling Madrid as a "very bad partner" in NATO. This decision is expected to deepen the divide between the United States and its European allies, further straining international relations within the alliance.
