Bangkok: The Narcotics Suppression Bureau has escalated the case involving a flight attendant implicated in drug trafficking to the level of a transnational crime. This strategic move is part of a concerted effort to dismantle the broader network and identify the masterminds behind the operation, including individuals known as "Rose Rose" and Mr. Kong Y.
According to Thai News Agency, the escalation was announced by Pol. Lt. Gen. Achayon Kraithong, the Commander of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, during a pivotal meeting held at the Bureau's headquarters. The meeting involved a collaborative three-unit investigative team, which includes the Bangkok Metropolitan Police and the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB). These entities are working together to enhance investigative efforts and share critical information in a bid to thoroughly probe the case.
In terms of progress, the authorities have already filed charges against individuals named Uthai and Nanthawat, who are currently in custody. However, the investigators are determined to extend their efforts beyond these initial arrests, aiming to unearth the primary orchestrators and proprietors of the drug trafficking network.
The identities of "Rose Rose" and Mr. Kong Y., who is associated with financial transactions to "Meena," are focal points in the investigation. While specific details remain confidential within the case file, authorities assure the public of their commitment to a comprehensive investigation.
Authorities confirm that the identities of the drug owners and intended recipients are known, and they anticipate imminent operations targeting the network. In a display of international cooperation, Thai authorities have been actively collaborating with Australian police. This ongoing partnership ensures the exchange of information and updates on the investigation's progress, conducted in full compliance with respective legal frameworks.
